  • Plasma-aided deposition of nanostructured ceramic, metallic and composite thin films and micropatterns; used a thermal plasma reactor to produce and deposit nanoparticles as thin films
  • Performed fluid dynamic design of an aerodynamic focusing system to collimate nanoparticles into a narrow beam in the compressible flow regime
  • Improved the fluid dynamic design of particle nucleation nozzle through experimental and numerical studies, eliminated macroparticles affecting the film quality
  • Performed two-dimensional axi-symmetric simulations of supersonic impingement of high temperature reacting gas mixture using CFD-ACE
  • Performed Eulerian simulation of multiphase fluid flow and Lagrangian tracking of nanoparticles impacting on a substrate by solving the Basset-Boussinesq-Oseen (BBO) equation
  • Extensive experience with thermal systems, vacuum systems and chemical and gas handling
