Curt's Model Airplane Hangar - Current Fleet

Thunder Tiger Bipe (40)

Purchased: May 23, 2004 (from ebay)

This is a partially assembled ARF I bought in a moment of weakness. Much of the assembly work was already done so it only took me an evening or two to of work to get her ready to fly. She flies like a dream - tons of fun. She is very aerobatic; quick, nimble, and light to the touch, but has pretty long moments so is also stable. All in all a very nice flier.

Lainer Mariner 40 ARF (Orange)

Built: Oct 2003 - May 2004

I bought this NIB off ebay for my birthday in 2003. I finished construction in time for my birthday in 2004. Maiden flight was on July 9, 2004 ... AWSOME!

Hobbyzone Aerobird Challenger

Purchased: October 13, 2003 (RTF)

This little beauty comes pretty much ready to fly. I've been having a blast with it. I can fly it in the field behind my house. It's a great plane for flying on a whim.

Great Planes Ultra Sport 40 ARF (Red)

Built: May 2002 - May 2003.

I cracked open the box on May 19, 2002 and had it flying a year later (ouch considering it is an ARF ... my fault not the kit's ...) It is quick and keeps me on my toes, but it can do a lot of things that none of my other aircraft can do, and has the best power to weight ratio in my "fleet." It is a lot of fun, but makes me want to get something more relaxing (like my sweet stik) also back up in the air.

Great Planes Super Sportster 40 ARF (Mk I)

Purchased used off Ebay: April 6, 2003.

I bought this aircraft off of Ebay on April 6, 2003 and it needed a fair amount of fixing up. Fortunately it is a great aircraft, a wonderful flyer, and looks very cool from every angle in the air and on the ground.

Fairchild F-24

Built Winter 2000.

Guillow's Rubber band powered free flight model. July 20, 2004: I replaced the old cracking motor, but haven't test flown it with the new rubber yet.
