REAL WEATHER IN-THREE-AREAS PROCEDURE
Example for flight from Miami Intl. (MIA) to Daytona Beach Regional
(DAB).
IMPORTANT: DUE TO FS LIMITATIONS PRESSURE HAVE TO BE
THE SAME IN ALL WEATHER AREAS. YOU HAVE TO SET THAT FIRST IN YOUR .RWX
FILE BEFORE LOADING REAL WEATHER AREAS.
- Select your Airplane and Departure Airport, make a situation
called for example, "REAL" (real.stn file) and set Start
Situation File to the same one (in Options/Preferences).
- Set Target Situation and Source Situation in the config file
located in the Real Weather subdirectory to this same
situation:
# Source situation file. Create this by setting up the
# flight sim exactly as you want it, and save the
# situation to this file.
SourceSTN = c:\usr\games\fs51\pilots\weather.stn
# Target situation file. You should make this your
# default startup situation.
TargetSTN = c:\usr\games\fs51\pilots\weather.stn
- Set Real Weather to "DAB" and Start FS6
- Load FS6 and go to World/Weather Areas (If you have any Weather
Area remove it first)
- Click Add Area, and Write "DAB"
Write in:
Beginnig Lat: n29 40
Ending Lat: n28 40
Begining Long: w81
Ending Long: w81
Width: 90
Transition: 16
Course: 90
Speed: 1
- Now click on Global and click on Copy Weather
Select "DAB" in the "Copy to" window and select all the items
below EXCEPT THE ONE CALLED "WHOLE AREA WITH ALL WEATHER
CATEGORIES"
- Say OK twice and Save Situation as REAL (situation name).
- Exit FS6, Load Real Weather for Vero Beach (VRB) and Start FS6
- Now Repeat teh above steps with this new data:
VRB (new area name)
n28 10
w80 30
n27 10
w80 30
below the same as in DAB
- Load Real Weather for Miami Intl (MIA), Start FS6 and Save
Situation "REAL" Now you are ready to fly Real Weather in Three
Situation Areas.
