RESEARCH/PROJECTS:

NACHOS Operating System (An experimental Operating System):
The work was done as part of the Course "Operating systems". It involves
implementing features in Nachos like Synchronization Primitives (Locks),System
Calls (Fork, semaphores, wait, signal), Priority Scheduling Algorithms
for CPU scheduling, Virtual Memory etc.

LINCAGES: Assisting in Conversion of the LINCAGES mechanism design
software from Fortran to C, and preparing a business plan for MINTT (Minnesota
Technology Transfer) as a part of the year long New Product Design and
Business Development Course.

Working as a Research Assistant on an ASHRAE
project to study the Grease Deposition in Exhaust Ducts as a function
of the particle size and the temperature and velocity of air in the duct.

Worked on a project for GREENHECK
INC., Wisconsin which involved testing the efficiency of commercial
grease filters.

Worked as a Research Assistant ona project on Design and Analysis of
a Dynamically Decoupled Robot in the Division of Remote Handling and
Robotics at the Bhabha Atomic Research
Center (B.A.R.C.), Bombay, India which involved the analysis of
a 2D linkage mechanism and incorporating necessary modifications to
achieve decoupling.

Worked on a project on the design of the Front End Shield of a Jet Engine
Fan at the CAD/CAM and ROBOTICS Lab at V.J.T.I. The project involved 3D
modeling and analysis using IDEAS and was done for Crompton Greaves Ltd.,
India.
HONORS & AWARDS:

Stood among the top 10 (out of 1000 students) in the BS class at
the University Level.

Stood among the top 3 students in college and among the top 1% in
Bombay at the H.S.c. (Grade XII) examination.

at the INMO (Indian National Mathematics Olympiad) in 1993.
