Here are some pictures from my vacation to the Grand Teton National Park and to Yellowstone during August of 2002.:

This is John in Cascade Canon at the Teton National Park. This is the first canon we walked up on our crazy 20 mile hike.

This is John with the Tetons in the back ground. The lake is Jenny lake. This is where we camped for two nights. It is also where we started the crazy hike.

And here we are at Jackson Hole. This is Jackson lake behind us, where we stayed the first night. We pulled in at dusk and the mountains were so impressive that we started taking pictures right away.

This is me at the top of Paintbrush Pass. This was the summit of our crazy hike; we were at 10700 ft, and I couldn't seem to catch my breath, although we didn't get altitude sickness. It just slowed us down some. You could see forever!!

And last (for now) but not least, here I am in Yellowstone. This was really neat because we were in a petrified forest that was created thousands of years ago as a result of a volcano. It was as if the fossilized trees were gaurding the vista below. Beautiful.
